The Foundation was founded as a nonprofit corporation in 1999 to be a source of charitable funds for Greater Clark County Schools. As a result of our generous donors and excellent board leadership, we have grown from giving away several hundred dollars annually to providing over $400,000 in grants each year. That’s money that makes a difference in classrooms, such as helping fund programs like the Academies of Greater Clark that prepares our High School students for their post-secondary endeavors. We have also supported Creative Classroom Grants, Arts Grants, VEX Robotics, Community Science Camp, Brick Building Clinic and our Teacher Supply Bus. 2023 also saw the launch of our Regina Oglesby Education Scholarship and a partnership with B.A.Y.A “Beautiful As You Are” to bring their programming into all of our schools through a very large grant from Impact 100 Southern Indiana.
Our annual Champions for Children event is our largest fundraising event. This is a night of celebrating our GCCS Staff, Alumni, and Business Partners. We also are grateful for the our GCCS Staff, Alumni & business partners who help make caring out our mission possible.
