Promoting Student Entrepreneurship: Jeffersonville High School's Poptastic Popcorn
Jeffersonville High School’s Applied Career Classes have partnered with Poppin’ Flavor Gourmet Popcorn to launch a new student-run business program. This program will give students experience in a multi-faceted approach to business. Students will be doing inventory management, sales, marketing, and product packaging.
This program was made possible through a grant from the Greater Clark Education Foundation and the support of Principal Pam Hall, teacher Donna Vanhook, Job Coach Lisa Sanders, and our students. This funding reinforces the school’s commitment to equipping students with real-world business and entrepreneurial skills.
The logo for JHS Poptastic Popcorn was designed by Pedro Espinales’ Marketing Class, ensuring student involvement in every aspect of the brand’s development. Profits from sales will directly benefit the class by funding supplies, field trips, and other educational activities.
- Conduct flavor surveys to determine popular choices
- Introduce a Popcorn of the Month
- Create an exclusive Jeff High Mix inspired by the school community
