Imagine working for ESPN+, calling games on air, even before graduating high school.

That experience was a reality for broadcasting students at Greater Clark. Greater Clark’s broadcasting program is at all three high schools, providing opportunities to learn more about careers in that field as well as develop technical skills. However, students are learning so much more.

Elementary Athletics

An intramural program is teaching students skills on and off the court.

At Greater Clark County Schools, some elementary sports teams are changing it up, hosting intramural programs versus playing other schools. The change, which was aimed at helping avoid the spread of viruses between buildings, is showing another benefit.

Semester 2 Calendar

Greater Clark County Schools has consistently received feedback about educational models and the viewpoints surrounding the school calendar for the second semester of the 2021-2022 school year. All feedback has been explored and considered. Both the Traditional and mySchool Online models will continue to be offered following the attached calendar.

Investing in Athletics

Greater Clark is investing in the success of the whole student, in the classroom and on the field. As part of the district’s Strategic Plan, updates were made to various athletic facilities, including installing artificial turf football fields, new bleachers and more.

GCCS wins Readers' Choice Awards

The votes have been counted, and it’s official.

Jeffersonville High School is the BEST SCHOOL in Clark County.

Greater Clark won a total of three Clark County Readers’ Choice Awards. Utica Elementary teacher Hilda Kendrick was named Best Educator. Jeffersonville High School coaches Danny Struck (wrestling) and Derek Ellis (baseball) tied for Best Coach.
